Summary
The Shape of History is inspired and designed by Dr. Stuart Kauffman and planned for worldwide distribution via a variety of platforms. The elements of the project will examine in depth the major environmental and social issues of our time and offer important new ideas from scholars and experts worldwide on how we can step back from the edge of extinction that the next generations are certain to face.
Overview
The Nature of Nature series of documentaries is the primary product in the planned outreach of media-based educational and informational programming fromThe Shape of History Project initiated by Dr. Stuart Kauffman in 2020.
During the R&D stage of the Project, the following programs have been considered by Project staff for further development while The Nature of Nature is in production:
- A companion book to the Nature of Nature series.
- A course of study to be syndicated to distance education programs at colleges and universities across the country.
- A book of readings chosen, edited and annotated by Project scholars for use in the course of study and by the general public.
- A series of documentary shorts to be available at no cost on social media that can be enjoyed by the public (edited especially for younger audiences) and used in the classroom along with teaching aids from the Project.
- A series of opinion pieces linked to the video series written by Project scholars to be syndicated free-of-charge to print and electronic news outlets.
- A webinar featuring Dr. Kauffman and his team of scholars that will precede release of the documentary series on television and electronic distribution outlets.
- A MOOC presentation for students and the general public featuring Dr Kauffman and other content experts to be streamed following the initial release of the Nature of Nature.
